Pike Liberal Arts School 2019-2020 Awards

Dear Students,

In this time of global pandemic, an unprecedented challenge was set before you. In the middle of the school year, the world changed in a way that no one living today has had to face. Without preparation, you were asked to complete the final quarter of the 2019-2020 school year online, without a face-to-face teacher, communicating entirely electronically, in a format with which many of you were unfamiliar. Not only did you meet that challenge head-on, you succeeded in a way few could have imagined.

Every year, Pike Liberal Arts School celebrates the individual accomplishments of its students in an end-of-year Awards Day. That physical meeting sadly could not happen this year due to regulations meant to curtail the spread of Covid-19. However, the recipients of those honors and awards still deserve recognition; therefore, we present this Awards website for parents, students, and faculty to celebrate together these accomplishments. The 2019-2020 Awards listed herein are even more special because the achievement of these awards was accomplished by success in the typical face-to-face classroom as well as the atypical online classroom.

I am very proud of the attitudes exhibited by you, our students, throughout the distance learning experience. I would also like to thank the teachers, coaches, administrators, Board members, and parents for their assistance and understanding in making this distance learning experience the best it could possibly be.

Congratulations to all of the following award recipients on this site. We are very proud of you and wish you continued success. As always, go Pike!

Sincerely,

Eric Burkett, Ed.S.
