National Junior Honor Society Eligibility

Section 1: 

To be eligible for membership, the candidate must be a member of the eighth or ninth grade classes. Candidates must have been in attendance at the school for the equivalent of one semester.

Section 2:

Candidates must have a cumulative scholastic average of 85 or higher beginning with seventh grade and continuing through the first semester of eighth grade. Candidates may not have any grades of D or F on their report cards. Induction into the NJHS will take place during the second semester of eighth grade. Ninth grade students who were not eligible in eighth grade may become eligible in ninth grade provided the cumulative scholastic average is 85 or higher.

Section 1: 

To be eligible for membership, the candidate must be a member of the sophomore, junior, or senior classes and be on the correct grade level. Candidates must have been in attendance at the school for the equivalent of one semester.

Section 2:

Candidates must have a cumulative scholastic average of 85 or higher beginning with ninth grade and continuing through the first semester of tenth grade. Candidates may not have any grades of D or F on their report cards/transcripts. These terms also apply to students taking dual enrollment classes for PLAS credit. Induction into the NHS will take place during the second semester of tenth grade. Students who were not eligible in tenth grade may become eligible in eleventh or twelfth grade provided the cumulative scholastic average is 85 or higher.

Section 3:

Students on both the Standard and Advanced Diploma tracks are eligible for membership.
